Minnesota Teen Finds Drug Money, Gives Away Thousands

ROSEMOUNT, Minn. — Un baiat de 16 ani din Minnesota a daruit mii de dolari altor colegi de-ai lui si unei persoane care era angajata la scoala lui ca ajutor pentru studenti. El se pare ca a gasit o punga plina cu bani aruncata sau ascunsa de cei care vind droguri.
Cind a fost intrebat de unde a facut rost de bancnotele de $100 , primul raspuns a fost ca sint banii lui din allowance. Mai tirziu a recunoscut ca a gasit o punga de bani si a dus politia la acel loc linga un highway, unde politia a gasit si marijuana si niste cintare.
Baiatul, care a fost descris ca o persoana cu dificultati la invatatura, a dat altora in jur de $11,000 din cei $18,000 care au fost gasiti in punga. Ofiterii de politie au colectat banii pe care el i-a dat colegilor si de la soferul autobuzului care a raportat ca cineva i-a pus in poseta suma de $1,200.
Nu se crede ca baiatul va trebui sa fie pedepsit pentru fapta lui. Un serif de politie a spus ca el este un copil bun care a incercat doar sa ajute pe altii care erau in nevoie.

Ma gindeam la cele citite…cit de mult apreciez compasiunea si bunatatea acestui copil care a dat altora mii de dolari, cind putea foarte bine sa ii cheltuie pentru nevoile lui. In schimb a dat cu inima latrga celor din jur. Articolul vorbeste despre el ca avind "dificultati la invatatura", dar ma intreb daca nu cumva noi sintem cei care avem "probleme la invatatura."
Acest copil stia ce inseamna compasiunea si bunatatea mai mult decit am invatat eu vreodata. Si inca pe furis a pus bani in poseta cuiva. Nu i-a trebuit nici sa fie recunoscut si nici n-a vrut ca cei pe care-i ajuta sa se simta datori lui pentru ajutorul primit. Inima lui sincera a vrut doar sa dea un pic de ajutor si sa le faca un pic de bucurie.
Da…se pare ca restul lumii are mai degraba probleme in ce priveste invatatura …iar acest copil ...poate doar sa le fie profesor.

ROSEMOUNT, Minn. — A 16-year-old Minnesota boy has given away thousands of dollars to fellow students and a school aide. The bag full of money he found was apparently tossed by a drug dealer.
When asked how he got the $100 bills, the student first said it was his allowance. He later said he found it in a ditch — and led police to a spot by a highway where they also found marijuana and scales.
The boy, described as learning disabled, gave away about $11,000 of the nearly $18,000 in the bag. Law officers collected the money from students and from the school bus aide, who had reported that someone slipped $1,200 into her bag.
The boy is not expected to face charges. A sheriff's deputy says he's "a good kid" who was trying to help people in need.

I've been thinking about this … how I appreciate the goodness and compassion of this kid that gave thousands away, when he could have easily spent it on himself. He gave with an open heart to those in need. The article describes the kid as being "learning disabled", but maybe it is all of us who are learning disabled. This kid has learned compassion and goodness far beyond what I have ever learned. He even "slipped" money into someone's bag. He didn't want recognition nor did he want those he helped to feel indebted to him. He honestly wanted to give those around him some happiness and help. Yes, indeed, it is the rest of the world that is "learning disabled" and this boy that is a good teacher.
